Gaston’s Insights.

August 16th, 2010 | by admin |

The Toronto Blue Jays manager, Cito Gaston has just around 6 weeks still left in his managerial career. His only regret is that he believes the next several years with the Blue Jays should be a great deal of fun and if he were not as old as he is he would remain on.

In a conversation with Mike Scioscia, Gaston when asked what he would do declared that he wished he was younger because he then could hang in there and watch the Jays move up the baseball ladder. He believes they are evolving swiftly. Cito believes he is getting a little too long in the tooth to be around.

Cito made the decision to retire at the conclusion of the season back in January. He said he still really likes it and is feeling great but doesn’t regret his choice.

Cito will be 67 next year and states that he still has some things to do while he can still walk.

Cito believes that whoever replaces him, the Toronto Blue Jays will be in good hands.
